Waste and recycling policy: essential for sustainable business

Each of us produces about one kilogram of household waste every day. But it doesn’t stop there. The manufacture of goods of course also produces industrial as well as general waste. For E.D.&A., the waste and recycling policy is not a new commitment; we remain dedicated to promoting a greener environment and creating less waste.

Necessary for society

Solar panels, a very energy-efficient ventilation system, lighting with sensors, a heat pump boiler (which converts server heat into hot water for showers), a geothermal water pump (by which we hardly require any fossil fuels) and electronic payslips that are available online. These are just a few examples demonstrating that we have been doing our best for many years to make our environmental footprint as small as possible.

While packaging is often necessary, it does cause problems for our environment. Additional efforts are needed in order be able to sort and recycle as much as possible. E.D.&A. regularly acts in the interests of optimising the recycling policy. Separating different types of waste (electric and electronics, wood, paper, glass, etc.) is only the beginning.
