Further expansion of our in-house production and testing facilities

In addition to the development of custom-made electronics for consumer and industrial applications, E.D.&A. is also responsible for the production of these electronic controls.  To steer our growth in the right direction, we have invested in new machines for a.o. an additional SMD-line. The installation will take place as soon as the new building is delivered in Q2 2021.

We also strive for perfection in the selection of the new machines. We chose robust, reliable machines that meet our quality standards and allow us to produce flexibly and efficiently.

Additional SMD line for electronics production triples capacity

At the heart of the new SMD line is Fuji's NXT III. This pick and place machine will triple our placement capacity. The application of paste will be done with a sophisticated stencil printer which, with the built-in temperature control unit, will ensure even more stable results.

Importance of product checks and process control during electronics production

The final product undergoes various inline process checks, inline functional tests, X-ray and other advanced tests during the entire production process. For the inline optical process controls we opt for a 3D solder paste inspection machine (3D SPI), as well as a 3D optical inspection machine (3D AOI) after reflow soldering. Of course, full traceability will also be implemented on this new line.

New FPT machine increases test capacity

The additional Flying Probe Test machine will increase our test capacity. We also place this extra FPT machine in an island solution to continue automated testing.
