IoT application in an ATEX environment

E.D.&A. developed an energy-efficient wireless sensor for use in potentially explosive environments. The severe circumstances for applications in chemistry, petrochemicals and heavy industry required extra attention in development. The result is a sensor with IP69 gradation and a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C.0

Electrical applications in explosive atmospheres must comply with European ATEX standards. The sensors therefore carry the Ex logo as a sign of approval by an accredited laboratory. The customer's backend application makes the sensor information usable for the process operators so that relevant information is immediately available.
