Innovative control platform for extractor hoods

Our customer is a renowned manufacturer of extractor hoods. For the high runner extractor hood models, our customer wanted a compact electronic controller for driving the EC motors and the linear dimming of the LED lighting of the extractor hood.

Thanks to patented E.D.&A technology, the continuous dimming of the LED lighting is comparable to the dimming of halogen spotlights. No external LED drivers are used, which reduces the cost price. The electronic controller is equipped with RF communication that complies with the RED guidelines.

The extractor hood (lighting + motor speed) can be operated using a specifically designed remote control and/or by local operation on the extractor hood. Diverse functions can be connected to the electronic controller (push button, capacitive button behind glass). This results in a control and operating concept that is widely applicable throughout the entire range.
