For a manufacturer of innovative cooking solutions with exports worldwide, E.D.&A. developed a custom-made electronic controller based on capacitive touch for the extraction of cooking vapours.

The extraction of the cooking vapours is integrated in these innovative hobs. It is operated by touching the glass, on the basis of capacitive touch technology. To ensure that the touch keys work reliably, E.D.&A. developed specific algorithms that guarantee reliable and stable operation. The sensitive capacitive keys can be disturbed by the electromagnetic fields generated by the induction hob. These disturbances are exacerbated if there is water or grease on the hob. Our extensive knowledge and experience in the food sector led to a reliable solution.

In close cooperation with the customer, we also developed a complete I/O box with integrated Switched Mode Power Supply to ensure that the standby consumption of the equipment meets the EuP (Energy Using Products) standards. E.D.&A. supplies a fully assembled and tested product in the final packaging, making it immediately ready for use by the kitchen installer.
