Second generation takes over (July 2009)
Since the beginning of this year the second generation D'Handschotter has taken over the control of E.D.&A. Son Gert has been active within the company from the end of 2002. In this way he has a good insight in the possibilities of the company. He will continue the successful growth strategy and, where necessary, adapt it to market conditions.E.D.&A. stands for innovative, high quality and reliable electronic systems. This strategy will not change, according to Gert D’Handschotter. “However marketing and sales efforts will be raised, so that we can become more successful on the German market. We will go for an even greater partnership with our customers, so that E.D.&A. is regarded as the external electronics department of the customer. Moreover we want continue set the tone in the field of innovation. Next year we will also firmly invest in R&D. Therefore, we can offer our customers the latest technology in a reliable and stable way.“, says Gert D’Handschotter.
“I am very pleased and proud that after 28 years I can pass the torch to my son Gert. This exudes confidence and continuity to customers, suppliers and employees. Flor D’Handschotter adds that he is convinced that E.D.&A. is in for a beautiful future together with its customers. He still remains active within the company. He will focus on expanding and maintaining the customer base. He will also participate in the Advisory Board which will be installed soon.
