Remote Communication Controller (RCC-30): Single board controller with GSM on board (January 2000)
Originally E.D.&A. built the RCC-30 (Remote Communication Controller) for its use in vending machines. But because of the wide range of possibilities of this single board controller it can be used in various sectors.Technical specifications
Besides 24 digital inputs/14 relay outputs this RCC-30 has 1 RS232 port, 1 RS485 port, 1 MDB port with MDB protocol and a connection for an LCD display and keyboard. On the controller an industrial GSM can be placed so that the controller can send all kinds of alarms and other data.
Telecontrol
Thanks to the availability of a fax driver, a driver for e-mails, SMS and semascript, the controller is extremely suitable for telecontrol. Because of the data log memory (10 Mb and more) important data can be saved temporarily.
Programming
Just like in the other controllers, programming is done in C. Programs can also be altered and loaded from a distance. Manuals, instructions and library functions are available on CD-Rom.
Extras
There are extension cards for digital I/O, analogue I/O and data log memory. An Ethernet card under TCP/IP is also available.
