A Belgian company specialized in individual water treatment installations, had appealed E.D.&A. to develop a new custom-made controller. The water treatment installations are placed at houses that are not connected to a sewer system.
Communication with a central dispatch server
E.D.&A. has developed an electronic controller in a compact housing. This controller regulates the water treatment installation. The GSM-module takes care of the telemetry possibilities. Due to this the controller can send alarms and information to a central dispatch server. Possible alarms are a breakdown of a compressor, a pump that got locked, a power failure, etc.
In case of a power failure, the controller changes over to low power mode with batteries. Information such as the number of working hours e.g. can be claimed for from the central dispatch server. Due to this it is possible to check at a distance when the machine needs to be maintained. These requests occur via an SMS-message with a specific command. The controller is equipped with a 4x20 text display and a turning button for the operation.
