E.D.&A. introduces GPRS technology in its controllers (September 2002)

As a solution for the ever higher demands for wireless management of installations, E.D.&A. introduces GPRS technology in its HPC®s. In combination with TCP/IP networking this technology puts communication-intensive applications in a another light.

Thanks to the flexible concept of the freely programmable controllers, a spectrum of applications can by all means be realised. This GPRS technology is not only available for standard products, but also for customer-specific E.D.&A. designs.

On "Het Instrument 2002" (stand 7A3) E.D.&A. showed a practical example of this integrated GPRS technology, namely “telemanagement of pump controllers for pressure sewer systems”. The controllers are connected with the Internet by means of a GPRS modem. A built-in webserver allows you to parameter the controller from a distance. Via e-mail the controller can also send status alterations and reports.
