E.D.&A. develops electronics for a manufacturer from the military world (December 2007)
A system integrator for industrial computer solutions (with offices in Belgium, the Netherlands and France) had an interesting challenge for us. We had to develop a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) with inputs and outputs for a machine builder active in the military world.
The electronics have to be placed in an industrial PC. This was a real challenge because the range of temperature (-51 up to +85°C), the vibration and shock resistance and the military standards pushed us to the extreme.
To meet all the specifications the PCB is equipped with very special components. During the previous months the prototype has been completely tested. One of the tests consisted in keeping the print under tension in case of a temperature of -40°C during one complete month. During another test the print and the housing were exposed to fine desert sand for one month.
Shortly the production of the high technological PCB will start.
