E.D.&A. developed fan speed controller for fireplaces (July 2010)
E.D.&A. developed a fan speed controller for one of Belgium’s largest manufacturers of fireplaces in which wood, coal or even gas or organic products can be burned.
For all their products, they may submit test certificates related to guaranteed high combustion efficiencies and low CO levels. The product we developed for this manufacturer has to control the speed of the built-in fan. It is a completely electronic system.
The speed of the fan is set in function of the temperature in the combustion chamber. If the fire is cold, the fan will not run for example. In this way, electronically optimal combustion is pursued.
Push buttons and remote control
To offer an extra comfort feeling, maximum fan speed can be limited via the push buttons. The cream of the cream is a remote control to operate the heating system from your lazy chair. Via built-in diagnosis, the service department is in a position to verify whether the fireplace is used in an appropriate way.
