From design to production

The specifications of a new controller are drawn up in close consultation with the customer. E.D.&A.'s design engineers add their know-how to make this product a stable and powerful controller.

Thanks to the knowledge and experience in developing and producing controllers, the designs have a very good price/quality ratio.

During the design phase we make as much use as possible of standard schemes and "proven technology". For each controller design a complete production file is produced which is needed for the relevant supplier.

E.D.&A. coordinates production among its strictly selected partners via an ERP software package. Every component purchased by a supplier is first specified by E.D.&A. and established in writing in terms of type and brand. As a result, E.D.&A. retains full control over the materials used.

All E.D.&A.'s products are given a unique serial number after initial processing by the production companies. All serial numbers are managed by an application and read in using barcode scanners. For each serial number a file is kept in which each production step is logged (e.g. supplier, customer, date of manufacture, etc.). E.D.&A. can thus retrieve all information about all products.

For each product E.D.&A. decides which tests the production companies have to carry out: a Flying Probe Test (FPT), an Active Burn In test (ABI) or Automated Optical Inspection (AOI). These tests are also fully coordinated by E.D.&A.. With the quality statistics provided, E.D.&A. can continuously monitor and optimise the entire production process.
