Description of controller development / desired specifications

The purpose of the fan controller that was developed is to control the speed of single-phase fans placed above the condensers and evaporators. By setting the fan speed, the cooling process can be controlled. The controller is driven by a PWM-signal with the possibility of feedback. Through this feedback, the main controller can be informed of any faults. For example, the controller is equipped with automatic short circuit detection during the start-up of the fan. The fan controller will detect any short circuit and then go into standby mode. As a result the module will not be damaged and can be used again after the short circuit has been removed.
