The development and production of a controller for a cow brush. A cow brush takes care of the well-being and cleaning of cows in the shed. It has been scientifically proven that a cow that feels good produces more milk.
This client had an existing electronic controller from a supplier where the on switch of the engine was based on a mechanical component. The reliability was however not always guaranteed.
E.D.&A. has developed a new controller where use was made of a gravity sensor. This sensor gives a signal that is dependent upon the speed and movement of the component. Intelligent software ensures that the new printed circuit board can be used for all our client's cow brush types, without mechanical adjustments to the printed circuit board.
The high environmental temperature was also an additional challenge, as the printed circuit board was mounted on the engine in a small enclosed housing. The printed circuit board was protected against overheating using a temperature sensor and software.
