Battery monitoring system

World leader in industrial batteries.

Description development / required specifications

Batteries are crucial and indispensable voltage sources for particular installations. For instance if there is a power failure in a hospital, the operating rooms cannot be without electric power. For such places batteries are used to start the power generator that can supply the emergency power.

Also the switch from the common electricity grid to the power generator is bridged with these batteries. They are also inevitable for radio and television broadcasting stations, chemical installations and masts for mobile telephony.

In the past battery monitoring was executed by regular controls on the spot (two or three times a year). They were not cheap and required a lot of administration and observation work. Moreover the manual controls are not complete: important parameters - such as the temperature of each battery - could not be measured because this was a roundabout process.

The battery monitoring system developed by E.D.&A. has important improvements: the controls occur automatically done and on a regular base. These advantages cause a reduction of the expensive manual controls on the spot and the administration costs for the administration of these operations. The data are sent via Ethernet or the GPRS-network to central data servers.
